A Summers Rain

As I walked along the meadow and gazed upon our tree,
That oak that looms upon the hill the one where you first kissed me,

I reminisced about that kiss and savoured your embrace,
Remembering your loving touch as a raindrop kissed my face,

As the rain carressed my face and the wind whispered to my soul,
I heard your voice call out to me when the thunder began to roll,

I stood there in the evening rain needing your embrace,
The thunder echoed out your name and the wind embraced my face,

I stood there waiting for my love to come running unto me,
To wrap me in her loving arms and complete with me my fantasy,

This poem I wrote for the one I love her beauty and soul uncontained,
I love the sound of her angelic voice, I speak of Summers Rain!
